Stephen R. Buntrock steps into the role of Fredrik Egerman Sept. 28, replacing the departing Alexander Hanson. Additionally, the role of Count Carl-Magnus Malcolm, created by Aaron Lazar, was assumed by Bradley Dean Aug. 31.
Buntrock (who was a "liebeslieder," Mr.Lindquist, when the revival began in fall 2009) rises to the leading-man role in a cast that boasts two-time Tony Award winner Bernadette Peters as Desirée Armfeldt, Tony and Emmy winner Elaine Stritch as Madame Armfeldt, Dean as Count Carl-Magnus Malcolm, Erin Davie as Countess Charlotte Malcolm, Leigh Ann Larkin as Petra, Hunter Ryan Herdlicka as Henrik Egerman and Ramona Mallory as Anne Egerman with Ron Bohmer, Ben Davis, Jessica Grové, Gina Lamparella, Katherine McNamara, Jayne Paterson, Kevin David Thomas, Keaton Whittaker, Karen Murphy, Erin Stewart and Kevin Vortmann.
