The concerts usually focus on a theme, 2003 featured songs from musicals that have been presented at City Center since its 1943 opening, while this year celebrates the birthdays of American songwriters Frederick Loewe, Jule Styne, Dorothy Fields, Marc Blitzstein and Harold Arlen. Some of the featured performers are seen at left including Karen Ziemba, Leslie Uggams, Christine Ebersole (who was recently cast in the upcoming Broadway production of Steel Magnolias) and Sara Gettelfinger.
