The lighting of the tree is a yearly celebration of the holiday season attended by many of Broadway's current leading performers. On hand to throw the switch this year were Wonderful Town's Brooke Shields and Dame Edna Everage, while Carolee Carmello and Gregg Edelman entertained the crowd. Below, Mrs. Thistletwat, of Avenue Q fame, joins children from the Professional Performing Arts School onstage.
