New York favorite Tovah Feldshuh earned a Tony nomination for her portrayal of Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meir in the solo piece.
Joining Feldshuh to celebrate the achievement were, among others, Fiddler on the Roof's John Cariani and Sally Murphy, Michele Lee and Phyllis Newman, and director Scott Schwartz. A celebratory party was held at popular theatre eatery Angus McIndoe, on West 44th Street in New York City.
Golda's Balcony transferred to Broadway after a much-extended run at Off-Broadway's Manhattan Ensemble Theatre.
