The Festival showcases the work of some of the strongest high school theatre programs in North America, all affiliated with EdTA’s International Thespian Society, and offers more than a hundred workshops in acting, directing, musical theatre, playwriting, dance, improv and technical theatre.

This year’s event was the fiftieth edition of the Festival, which was first held at Indiana University in 1941.

Fifty-five college theatre programs send representatives to audition prospective students at the Festival. About six hundred rising seniors participated in college auditions this year.
