Here is a first look:
Iron Curtain, With Jenn Gambatese, Todd Alan Johnson and Aaron Ramey
Iron Curtain features a book by Susan DiLallo, music by Stephen Weiner and lyrics by Peter Mills. The musical, according to press notes, is described as such: "An uproarious original comedy set during Broadway’s Golden Age of the 1950s, Iron Curtain follows the misadventures of Howard Katz and Murray Finkel, hapless songwriters who finally get their big break when they are kidnapped by the KGB, taken to Russia and forced to fix the world’s worst communist propaganda musical. With the help of their madcap Soviet collaborators, the team gets a taste of the fame they never had in America. Will they choose celebrity or freedom? Iron Curtain was inspired by the historic communist propaganda musicals created in the Soviet Union under the regime of Joseph Stalin, a purported fan of the musical theater genre." The production also features musical supervision and orchestrations by Remy Kurs, musical direction by Brandon Sturiale, scenic design by Brian Prather, costume design by Sidney Shannon, lighting design by Doug Harry and sound design by Andy Leviss. Kat West is the production stage manager.
