News PHOTO CALL: Marla Mindelle, Rebecca Naomi Jones, Alex Brightman, Hannah Elless, Lauren Pritchard and More Sing The Music of Zack Zadek Marla Mindelle (Sister Act, Cinderella), Rebecca Naomi Jones (American Idiot, Passing Strange) and Lauren Pritchard (Spring Awakening) were among the artists joining musical theatre writer Zack Zadek for his Nov. 11 concert at the Highline Ballroom.

Directed by Hunter Bird with musical direction by Benjamin Rauhala, the 8 PM concert, The Music of Zack Zadek, promised "a mix of musical theatre, pop, dance, as well as selections from Zadek's full-length musicals 6 (New York Musical Theatre Festival 2012) and The Crazy Ones (NYMF Reading Series 2013)."

Joining Mindelle, Jones and Pritchard were Marcus Paul James (In the Heights, Rent), Alex Brightman (Big Fish, Wicked), Ariana DeBose (Motown, Bring It On), Andrew Kober (Hair), Hannah Elless (Godspell), Drew Gaspirini ("Smash"), Emma Hunton (Spring Awakening, Next to Normal), Molly Hager (Fat Camp), Sarah Cetrulo (The Black Suits), Haley Bond, Charles Franklin and John Krause.

Zadek was backed by a full band featuring music director Rauhala (synth/organ), Matt Hinkley (lead guitar), Shannon Ford (drums), Andy Kuusisto (bass), Alexandra Jones (cello), Sam Quiggins (cello) and Justin Rothberg (rhythm guitar). Taylor Noble and Sedona Schat provide additional vocals.

Zadek's work has been heard at Joe's Pub, (le) Poisson Rouge, 54 Below, Galapagos Art Space and as part of In The Valley: The Songs of Zack Zadek at the Laurie Beechman Theatre.

Valerie Novakoff produced, and projection design was by Andrew Lazarow (I Am Harvey Milk).
