Just in case anyone was confused, Marla Schaffel makes it plain - she is Jane Eyre.
Jane Eyre tells of a plain but smart woman — a governess - who falls in love with the mysterious, secretive Rochester in provincial England. The Paul Gordon-John Caird musical received its first major produciton in 1996 at the Royal Alexandra Theatre in Toronto (produced by the Mirvishes) and, after script and score refinements, was produced again at the La Jolla Playhouse in summer 1999, where it was a smash audience favorite. Schaffel and James Barbour star as Jane Eyre and Rochester.
