News   PHOTO CALL: Sondheim Honored at City Center Angela Lansbury, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Nathan Lane, Len Cariou, Joanna Gleason and others celebrated the work of Stephen Sondheim April 26 at City Center.

Tony Award-winning director John Doyle, who staged Broadway revivals of Sweeney Todd and Company as well as the world premiere of Sondheim's Road Show, directed the benefit concert. Rob Berman conducted a full orchestra. Performers included Lansbury (Anyone Can Whistle, Gypsy, Sweeney Todd, A Little Night Music), Zeta-Jones (A Little Night Music), Lane (A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, The Frogs), Cariou (Sweeney Todd, A Little Night Music), Murphy (Passion, Encores! Follies and Anyone Can Whistle), Gleason (Into the Woods), Zien (Into the Woods), Michael Cerveris (Assassins, Sweeney Todd, Road Show), Raúl Esparza (Company), Tom Aldredge (Into the Woods, Passion), Alexander Hanson (A Little Night Music), Michelle Pawk (Merrily We Roll Along, Bounce), Victor Garber (Sweeney Todd, Assassins), Debra Monk (Company, Assassins), Alexander Gemignani (Sweeney Todd, Sunday in the Park with George, Road Show), Mark Jacoby (Sweeney Todd), Claybourne Elder (Road Show), Jim Walton (Merrily We Roll Along, Sweeney Todd), B.D. Wong (Pacific Overtures) and Sutton Foster (Encores! Anyone Can Whistle).
