On July 14, the Public Theater invited friends of The Public to see a sneak peak of the progress being made as part of the Capital Campaign's ongoing renovations to the theater's home on Lafayette Street.
Guests and staff were invited to be a part of the history and sign steel beams that will be a part of the new canopy in the renovated lobby.
Approximately 75 people attended the event and among the few to leave their mark on The Public Theater were Artistic Director Oskar Eustis; Chairman of the Board, Warren Spector; Gail Merrifield Papp, wife of the late Joe Papp; Jim Polshek, one of the lead architect's from Ennead Architects and staff members of The Public Theater.
