Supporting Fortune's Fool are 1998 Tony nominee Enid Graham and Timothy Doyle, here with Roberta Wallach, daughter of legendary actor Eli.
Ivan Turgenev's Fortune's Fool is about a cash- poor gentleman (Alan Bates) who has lost his lands and managed to linger on for 20 years as a guest at a Russian estate. Frank Langella plays a meddling, arrogant neighbor who gets in the way of Bates' reunion with the returning daughter of the long-gone master of the estate. Fortune's Fool, directed by Arthur Penn, opened April 2 at the Music Box Theatre.
