Tony Award winner Beth Leavel lit up Times Square in character as the often very-lit "Drowsy Chaperone."

Leavel braved the cold and rain to be on hand to light the new marquee for The Drowsy Chaperone, which harkens back to the neon and bulb advertisements and marquees that gave "The Great White Way" its nickname. The retro-styled marquees feature 40 neon tubes, over 1,000 bulbs, and echoes the 1930's era in which the Drowsy Chaperone is set.
