News   PHOTO CALL: Theatre Stars Turn Out to Relish in NYC’s New “Upper West Fest” On April 28, Symphony Space - the well-known and multi-faceted performance venue on Manhattan’s Upper West Side – celebrated its historic neighborhood with the very first “Upper West Fest,” at which a large contingent of the theatre’s finest talents turned out in support.

Rich with culture, restaurants, shops and many theatres (Lincoln Center, Julliard and The Promenade among many others), the Upper West Side has long been one of New York City’s most vibrant neighborhoods. At left, The Trip to Bountiful’s Lois Smith and Harris Yulin, as well as Fritz Weaver are seen at the festival. Below, Joan Allen, B. D. Wong, Cynthia Nixon, Jonathan Hadary, Marian Seldes and George S. Irving celebrate the opening of the first-ever “Upper West Fest” outside Symphony Space, located at 2537 Broadway.
