News   PHOTO CALL: What Happens in Las Vegas Avenue Q, Stays in Las Vegas Avenue Q It’s been a whirlwind of activity for the residents of Avenue Q, the surprise hit musical that snatched 2004’s Tony Award for Best Musical, since they moved to the desert with the opening of a Las Vegas production last September.

At left, current Miss America Deidre Downs fulfills a life-long dream for Q’s Rod by crowning him backstage, while actress Brynn O'Malley and Lucy The Slut practice their sultry expressions backstage at Wynn Las Vegas. Below, Rod, Lucy The Slut, O'Malley and Trekkie Monster cruise the town in a custom made Avenue Q Wynn Las Vegas taxi.

On Jan. 1, Las Vegas cast member Tonya Dixon and puppet creator/performer Rick Lyon tied the knot in a special ceremony that featured the show’s Nicky and Kate Monster in the ceremony. Below that, the men of Chippendales Las Vegas are seen with O'Malley, Lucy The Slut, John Tartaglia, Rod, Kelli Sawyer (also with Lucy The Slut) and Jonathan Root (also with Rod).
