In Mark Adamo's opera, based on Aristophanes' play, the women of ancient Sparta and Athens stop having sex with their husbands in order to stop a war.

Michael Kahn is the director. The sets are by Derek McLane, costumes by Murell Horton, and lighting by Howell Binkley.

Houston Grand Opera's production runs through March 19.
