Classic Arts News Pianist Piotr Anderszewski Cancels Florida Performance Due to Hand Injury A hand injury has forced pianist Piotr Anderszewski to cancel his appearances with Miami's New World Symphony this weekend, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.
Anderszewski was scheduled to play the Haydn Piano Concerto in D major.

Instead, the NWS, conducted by Peter Oundjian, will play Stravinsky's Firebird Suite, along with, as scheduled, Brahms' Symphony No. 4 and Janšcek's Suite for String Orchestra.

Anderszewski hurt his hand last week falling off a bicycle, and had to cancel a performance with the Minnesota Orchestra. No other performances by the pianist have been cancelled at this time, according to his management company.
