Classic Arts News Piotr Anderszewski Disc Debuts on Billboard Chart Piotr Anderszewski's latest CD, a collection of works by Karol Szymanowski, debuted this week on the Billboard classical chart at number 21.
The album includes the composer's 1917 Sonata No. 3 and two three-part works: the 1915 M_topes and the 1916 Masques.

Yo-Yo Ma and the Silk Road Ensemble's Silk Road Journeys: Beyond the Horizon remained at number one; the 5 Browns' debut album, getting a boost from the group's television appearance on August 6, moved from number three to number two.

Ma, the reigning king of classical sales, currently has four albums on the chart: Yo-Yo ma Plays Ennio Morricone moved from number five to number three; Vivaldi's Cello remained at number eight; and The Dvoršk Album, a compilation released last fall, reappeared this week at number 25.

Il Divo's debut album remained at the top of the classical-crossover chart, with Josh Groban's Closer increasing its sales but remaining at number two, and the soundtrack to Star Wars Episode III at number three.
