News   Play With Your Food? Stamford Center Seeks 10-Minute Scripts for The Pub Plays
Stamford Center for the Arts is currently seeking 10-minute plays for The Pub Plays, a new series to be performed in local Connecticut restaurants and bistros.

Presented with support from the Connecticut Commission of Culture and Tourism, the deadline for script submissions is Feb. 16.

"Stamford Center for the Arts is seeking playwrights who can definitely 'think outside of the box (theatre)' by staging new 10-minute plays at site-specific restaurants and bistros giving unsuspecting patrons an entirely different and totally unique experience while dining, drinking and relaxing," reads an announcement. "The locations will be dependent upon the requirements of the plays and the participating restaurants and bistros."

The Pub Plays script requirements are as follows:

  • no more than 4 characters
  • must take place in bar or restaurant
  • must run 10 minutes in length Submissions will be accepted by by email at or regular mail at:
