First Broadway show ever saw: Proof
If you could go back in time and catch any Broadway show, what would it be? The original Sweeney Todd. It was the first show I ever acted in (high school), so I've got a real soft spot.
Current show you have been recommending to friends: Just saw Circle Mirror Transformation by Annie Baker at Playwrights Horizons...it killed me all quiet-like...I loved it. Unfortunately, it just closed, though it's bound to pop up elsewhere. Find it.
Favorite showtune: Is "Pinball Wizard" really a showtune?
MAC or PC? MAC. Though the one I'm typing on now is a really old dog and should probably be put out of its misery.
Most played song on your iPod: My iTunes lists "Lump Sum" by Bon Iver as the song "most played," but I'm always on shuffle so the amount of intention behind that is debatable. Hell of an album, though.
Web obsession: Last year a buddy gave me the book "The Name of the Wind" by Patrick Rothfuss. Say what you will about the fantasy genre, this book is just a damn good read. I was in a low sorta spot in my life, and it lifted me up and out. There's a reason storytelling has been one of the greatest constants throughout the history of civilization, and "The Name of the Wind" is the kind of tale that reminds you why. Anyway, I don't read blogs...ever. And yet there's a quick-link in my browser's toolbar to Pat Rothfuss' blog. Turns out the guy can't just write a kick-ass novel, he also has to be really damn sweet n' funny, too. http://patrickrothfuss.com/blog/blog.html
Last good movie you saw: Finally saw "Frost/Nixon." Frank, why you gotta be so GOOD?
Performer you would drop everything to go see: Hendrix. Sigh...
Pop culture guilty pleasure: Urban Outfitters sales rack. About twice a year.
First stage kiss: I believe it was in She Loves Me at NYU.
Favorite post-show meal: McDonalds. God help me.
How you got your Equity card: I was cast as an understudy in Brooklyn Boy by Donald Margulies on Broadway.
Worst onstage mishap: One night last week I had really severe food poisoning. The next day my system was still pretty out of whack and, totally unexpectedly, I just ripped one...middle of a scene. It was loud. You all know what I mean.
Who have you played on "Law & Order"? Which edition? "Enthusiastic auditioner" - All editions.
Worst costume ever: 1970s airline stewardess...pink miniskirt, purple go-go boots...also: best costume ever.
Pets' names: Had a collie named Jacob for about a month when I was really young and we had to give him away. I was heartbroken.
Favorite junk food: See "Favorite post-show meal."
Who would play you in the movie? That would be up to whoever was foolish enough to make the movie in the first place.
Worst job you ever had: TGIFriday's. 'Nuff said.
TV or commercial gig you most enjoyed: "The Closer: Next of Kin, Parts 1&2," thanks to James Duff and company.
Leading man role you've been dying to play: The guys in 13th of Paris by Mat Smart and 9 Circles by Bill Cain. Maybe it's a numbers thing.
