Bradley Lohrenz has joined the theatrical publishing and licensing agency Playscripts, Inc. as vice president.

Lohrenz, who had previously been the director of licensing at Samuel French, will oversee all of the agency's professional and amateur licensing and acquisitions.

"I have long admired Playscripts for its independent spirit, unique vision and innovative techniques within the licensing and publishing industry," Lohrenz said in a statement. "It is a vibrant company that dominates the educational and amateur markets. I am thrilled to join Playscripts' staff, and look forward to contributing to moving the company to the forefront of professional play and musical licensing and acquisitions, while retaining its identity as one of the premiere educational licensing and publishing houses."

Lohrenz has also worked as an assistant general manager for Big League Theatricals, managing national tours of Tommy, The Secret Garden and Five Guys Named Moe. He also company managed tours throughout the U.S., Canada, Israel, Singapore, Hong Kong and Taiwan.

Playscripts Inc. actively licenses to over 30,000 theatre makers around the world. Founded in 1998, it currently publishes and represents nearly 2,000 plays by over 1,100 playwrights. It recently announced a new global publishing/distribution deal with Stageworks Media.
