News Playwrights for Pets to Present Fables & Fairy Tales Feb. 9 Playwrights for Pets will present an afternoon of Fables & Fairy Tales, which is appropriate for "children of all ages," Feb. 9 at Animal Haven SoHo.

The 3:30 PM performance will feature readings of Evan Guilford-Blake's "Snapdragon," Bill Dudley's "Uncorked" and Judd Lear Silverman's "Androcles & The Lion." The players will include Kaseem Bristow, Elizabeth Gee, Nell Gwynn, Charles Navarrette, Annie Pesch and Barry Steely. Playwrights for Pets, according to the group's official website, "was created to produce play readings in support of organizations dedicated to animal welfare." The Feb. 9 performance will benefit Animal Haven.

Animal Haven SoHo is located in Manhattan at 251 Centre Street, between Broome and Grand Streets. For reservations call (718) 768-4213 or e-mail [email protected]. There is a $10 suggested donation for adults and a $5 donation for children ages 12 and under.
