News Polk and Scherer Are Odd Couple in Pittsburgh May 29-June 29 Andrew Polk is Oscar and John Scherer is Felix in the new Pittsburgh Public Theater production of Neil Simon's The Odd Couple, marking the first time a Simon play has been produced at the resident Pennsylvania theatre.

The tale of two men who bunk together after their marriages fail will be directed by The Public's producing artistic director Ted Pappas. Previews begin May 29 at PPT's O'Reilly Theater.

Scherer was seen on Broadway last season in LoveMusik. Polk recently appeared in Off-Broadway's Walmartopia.

Performances continue to June 29.

The cast also includes Ken Bolden as Vinnie, Emma Bowers as Gwendolyn Pigeon, Randy Kovitz as Roy, Eric Leviton as Murray, Doug Mertz as Speed and Meredith Zinner as Cecily Pigeon.

The creative team boasts scenic designer James Noone, costume designer Martha Louise Bromelmeier, lighting designer Kirk Bookman, assistant lighting designer Steve O'Shea, sound designer Zach Moore, production stage manager Fred Noel and assistant stage manager Rebecca J.
