While the 'real' Winnie the Pooh and Tigger too are comfortably resting inside their glass showcase at the Donnell Library in N.Y. (no thanks to a meddlesome British politician who tried to have them shipped back to England), the Laguna Playhouse in Laguna Beach, CA, is staging The House at Pooh Corner as part of its children series of plays. The play, adapted by Bettye Knapp from the stories of A.A. Milne, is all about what happens after Christopher Robin tells his friends that he's being sent away "to be educated." (We just hope he's not being sent to England on a one-way ticket.)

The House at Pooh Corner is being performed Feb. 13-22. For tickets, call (714) 497-ARTS.
