Presented by Paul Taylor-Mills in association with Greenwich Theatre, the limited engagement will begin Sept. 5, prior to an official opening Sept. 7, for a run through Sept. 16.
The production, which will also be directed by Taylor-Mills, will star Fearon as Mimi with Birkett as Maureen.
Here's how Greenwich Theatre describes the musical, which features a Tony-winning book and score by the late Jonathan Larson: "Based on Puccini's La Bohème, Rent tells the story of a group of impoverished young artists and musicians struggling to survive and create in New York's Lower East Side in the thriving days of Bohemian Alphabet City, under the shadow of HIV/AIDS."
Other members of the creative team include associate director Stephen Whitson, choreographer Richard Jones, designer David Shields and music directors Huw Evans and Tom Turner. Lillie Collier and Kylie Vilcins are the show's producers.
The Greenwich Theatre is located at Crooms Hill, London SE10 8ES. For more information and tickets, visit GreenwichTheatre.org.uk.
