News Portland Gets Broadway Tours of Avenue Q, Sweeney Todd, Spamalot, Camelot and More Avenue Q, Sweeney Todd, Twelve Angry Men, Spamalot and Camelot are among the touring Broadway shows to be presented in the new season by Portland Opera.

Special return engagements of Riverdance, Mamma Mia! and The Phantom of the Opera will also be featured in the 2007-2008 lineup of shows to play at the company's Keller Auditorium.

The schedule for the new season (subject to change) follows:

  • Monty Python's Spamalot (Aug. 22-Sep. 2)
  • Camelot (Oct. 2-7) starring Michael York

  • Twelve Angry Men (March 11-16, 2008) starring Richard Thomas
  • Mamma Mia! (March 18-23, 2008)
  • Sweeney Todd (April 8-13, 2008) as staged by John Doyle
  • Avenue Q (June 24-29, 2008)
  • The Phantom of the Opera (Aug. 13-Sep. 7, 2008) The current season continues with Altar Boyz (Jan. 30-Feb. 4), Annie (Feb. 20-25), The Light in the Piazza (Apr. 10-15), Chicago (May 29-June 3), Stomp (June 19-24) and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (July 10-15).
