Umbilical Cord Play by Mario Prata returns to the Sao Paulo stage on Oct. 5, at The Jaime Aroxa Theatre. The Production opened in May 1997 for the first time. Paulo Camargo and Camila Raffanti are in the top of the cast. Umbilical Cord, directed by Paolino Raffanti, is about four very young flat sharers in the 1970's, that decade of great change for youth. A medical student, a prostitute, an actress, and a writer, with opposing ideas and radically different and abrasive personallities, each fighting in their own way for "better" existence. They learn that they must face the realities of life without any support besides each other.
