Cast Recordings & Albums Prince of Broadway Will Release Original Broadway Cast Album The musical celebration of director-producer Harold Prince ended its Broadway premiere October 29.

An original Broadway cast album of Prince of Broadway, the musical retrospective that charts the life and legendary career of visionary director-producer Harold Prince, is in the works through Gorgeous Entertainment.

Cast members gathered October 30 to record the album, which features songs from many of the shows from Prince's career, including Damn Yankees, West Side Story, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Fiddler on the Roof, Cabaret, Company, A Little Night Music, Sweeney Todd, Evita, The Phantom of the Opera, and Kiss of the Spider Woman, as well as the revival of Show Boat .

Further details on the album’s release will be announced at a later date.

Prince co-directed the production, which ended its Broadway run October 29. Prince of Broadway opened on Broadway August 24 at Manhattan Theatre Club’s Samuel J. Friedman Theatre.

The cast featured Tony Award winner Chuck Cooper, Drama Desk Award winner Janet Dacal, Bryonha Marie Parham, Tony Award nominee Emily Skinner, Tony nominee Brandon Uranowitz, Kaley Ann Voorhees, Olivier Award nominee Michael Xavier, Tony nominee Tony Yazbeck, and Tony winner Karen Ziemba.

The musical features original songs, music supervision, arrangements, and orchestrations by three-time Tony winner Jason Robert Brown (Parade, The Bridges of Madison County), a book by two-time Tony nominee David Thompson (The Scottsboro Boys), and co-direction and choreography by five-time Tony winner Susan Stroman (The Producers).
