News Priscilla Queen of the Desert Will Debut in the Philippines in May 2014 Priscilla Queen of the Desert The Musical, adapted from the 1994 Academy Award-winning film "The Adventures of Priscilla Queen of the Desert," will make its debut in the Philippines in 2014.

According to a casting notice, the international hit musical will play Resorts World Manila May-July 2014. Rehearsals will begin in February.

Auditions for male and female performers are scheduled for Nov. 21-22. Click here for details.

The musical concerns a "trio of friends, on a road trip of a lifetime, who hop aboard a battered old bus searching for love and friendship in the middle of the Australian outback and end up finding more than they could ever have dreamed."

Priscilla Queen of the Desert The Musical features over 20 dance-floor favorites including “It's Raining Men,” “Finally” and “I Will Survive.” The musical opened on Broadway March 20, 2011, and played its final performance June 24, 2012, after 23 previews and 526 performances.

Priscilla Queen of the Desert The Musical is written by Stephan Elliott and Allan Scott. The Broadway production also featured direction by Simon Phillips, choreography by Ross Coleman, musical supervision and arrangements by Stephen "Spud" Murphy, set design by Brian Thomson, lighting design by Nick Schlieper, sound design by Jonathan Deans and Peter Fitzgerald and make-up design and Cassie Hanlon.
