The award-winning British production of Noel Coward's Private Lives will retain its original cast in its coming Broadway incarnation. Joining already announced stars at the Richard Rodgers Theatre will be Emma Fielding, Adam Godley and Alex Belcourt—all of whom appeared in the play at the Albery Theatre in London.

The Coward play will begin previews on April 19 and open on April 28. Howard Davies directs.

Tickets for American Express card holders only go on sale Feb. 24 through Ticketmaster. Phone and on-line sales are open to the public beginning March 5. The Rodgers box office opens March 25.

Alan Rickman and Lindsay Duncan, who play the comedy's witty and well spoken sparring ex-spouses, return to Broadway, where they last starred together in Les Liaisons Dangereuses in 1987.

Duncan won an Olivier Award for her portrayal in Private Lives. She was last seen in New York in Harold Pinter's Ashes to Ashes. Rickman's many films include "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves," "Die Hard," "Sense and Sensibility," "Dogma" and "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone." The original 1931 Broadway production of Private Lives famously starred Coward and Gertrude Lawrence. Since then, Broadway has seen stagings featuring (as Amanda and Elyot): Tallulah Bankhead and Donald Cook (1949); Tammy Grimes and Brian Bedford (1970); Maggie Smith and John Standing (1975); Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton (1983); and Joan Collins and Simon Jones (1992).
