Brad Oscar, the new star of Broadway's The Producers, will be the guest for the April 26 airing of "Theatre Talk," the acclaimed PBS talk show that features interviews with top theatre celebrities. Oscar, who is now playing the role of Max Bialystock after British actor Henry Goodman was fired from the part, will discuss his Cinderella story, which has taken him from being a "Swing" in the show to the lead role in what is one of Broadway's biggest hits in years. Oscar earned a Tony nomination last season in The Producers for his role as Franz Liebkind.

Newsday's Patrick Pacheco and The New York Times' Jesse McKinley will also be on hand to discuss the firing of Goodman, the acclaimed English actor who was hired to replace Tony winner Nathan Lane when he left the Mel Brooks musical in March. Goodman's firing from The Producers sparked a barrage of media coverage.

Hosted by New York Post theatre columnist Michael Riedel and producer Susan Haskins, "Theatre Talk" airs Friday nights at midnight on WNET/Thirteen. The program also runs Sunday mornings at 10 AM on WGBH in Boston.
