The reading at the Players Club boast the talents of Kate Baldwin, Michael Cerveris, Bradford Cover, David Margulies and Liz Morton. David Rooney hosts the 7 PM event. The Man of Destiny, according to press notes, is "Shaw's inflammatory play about none other than the young Napoleon (Michael Cerveris), who has just begun his infamous Italian Campaigne when a mysterious woman spy appears who may prove to be his downfall!"
In The Glimpse of Reality, "bold and dashing Count is on the run in the Italian countryside disguised as an old Friar. He has to try to save his life using only one weapon: his wit."
The Project Shaw series is produced and directed by David Staller, who acted with Dana Ivey in Shaw's Mrs. Warren's Profession at the Irish Repertory Theatre. The series intends to offer every sketch, full-length and one-act play by the late playwright.
