Will Pomerantz (The Blue Flower) directs the musical, which is presented with a new libretto by Rob Urbinati that is based on the novel by James Laver and the original libretto by Romney Brent. The musical plays a limited engagement through July 29.

Joining Huffman (The Producers, The Will Rogers Follies)  are Jennifer Blood (Drury Lane's The Sound of Music) as Evangeline Edwards, Sara Jayne Blackmore (White Noise) as Henrietta, Laura Cook (Fiddler on the Roof national tour) as Joyce, Amy Jo Jackson (The Great Recession at The Flea) as Bertha and Aubrey Sinn (Prospect's Iron Curtain) as Madeline. The ensemble includes Andrew Brewer, Natalie E. Carter, Sorab Wadia and Abe Goldfarb.

Here's how PTC bills the production: "One of Porter's most sexy and sophisticated scores – originally censored in its London debut – will be premiered in this sleek new adaptation. From a Swiss boarding school to an Austrian nudist colony to a Turkish harem, follow the unlikely adventures of young Evangeline Edwards as she enters the world and seeks her true passion in this fresh take on a rarely-heard gem."

Other members of the creative team include musical director Jim Bassi (Lincoln Center's Twelve Dreams), lighting designer Cory Pattak (Newsies, Peter and the Starcatcher), set designer Brian Prather (Fair Game), sound designer Andy Leviss (Strictly Dishonorable) and costume designer Whitney Locher (Barrow Street's Cymbeline).

Director Pomerantz has helmed world premieres by John Guare, David Auburn, Neil LaBute, Craig Lucas, Kia Corthron, David Lindsay-Abaire, Stephen Belber, Noah Haidle, Linda Cho and Kira Obolensky. His production of The Blue Flower, which premiered at Prospect, won Elliot Norton and Independent Reviewers of New England (I.R.N.E.) Awards. Nymph Errant is the third production in Prospect's 2011-12 season, following Adam Guettel's Myths and Hymns and the musical comedy Iron Curtain by Susan DiLallo, Peter Mills and Stephen Weiner.
