The photo shoot recently took place in the Grand Rapids, MI, venue's permanent exhibit to promote the upcoming new David Mamet comedy in which the Tony Award winner plays the incumbent U.S. President Charles Smith.

In the world premiere, Lane will star opposite Laurie Metcalf as Clarice Bernstein, aide to President Smith. Joe Mantello (Wicked, Take Me Out, Glengarry Glen Ross) stages the work, which begins Dec. 20 and opens Jan. 17, 2008, at Broadway's Ethel Barrymore Theatre.

The design team will feature Scott Pask (scenic), Paul Gallo (lighting) and Laura Bauer (costumes). November will be produced on Broadway by Jeffrey Richards and Jerry Frankel.

Mamet himself is a Pulitzer Prize winner for his drama Glengarry Glen Ross. His screenplays include "The Verdict," "Wag the Dog," "State and Main," "The Spanish Prisoner" and "The Untouchables."
