News Pullman and Modine Will Join Hurt, Nixon, Crudup, Asner and More in HBO's "Too Big to Fail" Stage and screen stars Bill Pullman and Matthew Modine have joined the cast of the HBO film "Too Big to Fail," which examines the financial CEO's who brought about the 2008 financial crisis, according to deadline.com.

The film, which will be directed by Curtis Hanson ("L.A. Confidential") from a screenplay by Peter Gould and Debora Cahn from the book by Andrew Ross Sorkin, is set to begin production in October. Pullman (Oleanna, The Goat, Peter and Jerry, "Independence Day") will play Jamie Dimon, chairman and CEO of JP Morgan Chase, with Modine (The Miracle Worker, "And the Band Played On") as John Thain, the former chairman and CEO of Merrill Lynch.

The two actors join quite a starry cast, including William Hurt (Hurlyburly , "Damages," "Kiss of the Spider Woman") as Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson; James Woods (Moonchildren, "Shark," "Ghosts of Mississippi") as Dick Fuld, the final chairman and CEO of Lehman Bros.; Paul Giamatti (The Iceman Cometh, "John Adams") as Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernake; Billy Crudup (The Coast of Utopia, "Eat Pray Love," "Stage Beauty") as Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner; Ed Asner (F.D.R., "The Mary Tyler Moore Show") as Warren Buffett; Cynthia Nixon (Rabbit Hole, "Sex and the City") as Michele Davis; Tony Shalhoub (Lend Me a Tenor, "Monk") as John Mack; and Kathy Baker (Fool for Love, "Picket Fences") as Wendy Paulson.
