The world famous Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum just opened another branch in New York City on 42nd Street. As the fates would have it, the staged reading of a new musical, Tussaud!, will happen two blocks away at the Pulse Ensemble Theatre Nov. 14.

Joan Cushing's new musical tells of the woman named Marie Grosholtz who grew to become the biggest name in wax. The story also includes some of Madame Tussaud's notable contemporaries, such as Marie Antoinette, Princess Elizabeth and Princess de Lamballe.

The play garnered the top award at the 20th Annual Washington Theatre Festival. Other works by Cushing include Mrs. Foggybottom & Friends, a political satire which ran in DC for 10 years and the musical Flush!, a recipient of the H.D. Lewis Award.

The staged reading will run twice on Nov. 14; at 2PM and 5PM. Both will take place at the Pulse Ensemble, 432 West 42nd St. (between 9th and 10th Ave.). For reservations, call (212) 575-0263.
