News Readings of Michaels and Wilk's Alyss Postponed Staged readings of Alyss — penned by comedienne Marilyn Michaels and her son, writer Mark Wilk — which were scheduled for May 20-21 at Chelsea Studios, have been postponed.

A May 19 press statement reads, "Due to illness in the company, the readings of Alyss at Chelsea Studios on May 20th and 21st have been postponed until further notice." Directed by Shango Amin, the readings were scheduled to feature the talents of Fred Applegate, Angelique Cinelu, Garrett Doss, Eric Dysart, Janeece Freeman, Robin Lee Gallo, Demond Greer, Nikki James, Max Kumangia, Tammy Lang, Michele Mais, Mauricio Perez, Patrick Richwood, Peter Scolari, Lawrence Stallings, James Stoval, Julius Thomas and Jeffrey Thompson.

The new musical puts a contemporary and irreverent spin on the "Alice in Wonderland" fable. Alyss features book and lyrics by Mark Wilk and Marilyn Michaels, music by Michaels and music direction by Mark Berman.
