The disc, which is currently available at Colony Records in Manhattan or by visiting www.officialharleyjayfanpage.com, features songs from a host of musicals, including Aida, Miss Saigon, Into the Woods and Les Misérables. About the recording Harley told Playbill.com, "I tried to choose songs that even the person that knows nothing about theatre can enjoy and sing along with. I didn't want to choose a bunch of remixes of songs no one has ever heard of. . . . I wanted to sing songs that [even a non-musical theatre fan could] listen to and love. It's got rock, pop, legit, classical, comedy, drama, the works... without taking itself too seriously. It's a chance to shut up and sing I guess!" The complete track listing for "Between 41st and 53rd" follows:
"Fortune Favors the Brave" (Aida)
"Those Magic Changes" (Grease)
"Why God Why" (Miss Saigon)
"Heaven On Their Mind" (Jesus Christ Superstar)
"Grow for Me" (Little Shop of Horrors)
"Grease" (Grease)
"Maria" (West Side Story)
"Giants in the Sky" (Into the Woods)
"Bring Him Home" (Les Misérables)
"Hair" (Hair)

A second recording of original tunes is also in the works for the singing actor. "That one should be a lot of fun and completely different from the Broadway sound," said Harley. " It's a mix of Keith Urban (lots of big guitar and clever instrumental licks) and Jason Mraz (quick-witted, fast-paced lyrics and catchy melodies), I guess."
