Entitled "Without Wax," the disc will be available on Jay's website ( and on iTunes beginning Aug. 6. About his new recording, actor-singer Jay told, "It's a country rock, solo album of all my own material. Think, Keith Urban meets Jason Mraz while waving to Joni Mitchell. But my goal with this thing was to basically make people in bigger cities understand that crossover country music isn't all about the 'twang' and 'your girlfriend leaving the trailer park with your dog and your cousin.' It's a new genre I'm calling 'City Country Rock.'"

Jay will celebrate the upcoming release of his CD with two concerts in California: July 2 at 9:30 PM at 14 Below and July 5 at 10:30 PM at Tangier.
