Artistic director Lenny Leibowitz and managing director Amy Estes announced the Equity company's season on Feb. 1. Marvell is thought to be New York City's only true repertory troupe. Performances take place at the Abingdon Theatre Arts Complex, 312 W. 36th Street, First Floor.
Marvell Rep's inaugural season begins with Ingmar Bergman's Nora, based on A Doll's House, paired with In the Shadow of the Glen, a darkly comic one-act by J.M. Synge, starting Feb. 18 and opening Feb. 22.
Federico Garcia Lorca's Blood Wedding begins March 5 and opens March 11, followed by the March 6 launch of the New York City premiere of Joseph C. Landis' translation of The Dybbuk by S. Ansky (opening March 13).

The Marvell acting company for this slate includes award-winning veterans as well as new talent: Loni Ackerman, Hamish Allan-Headley, Brian J. Carter, Rachel Claire, Daniel Owen Dungan, Ava Eisenson, Joy Franz, Marc Geller, Sean Gormley, Nicolas Greco, Chris Kipiniak, Stephanie Lynne Mason, Jerry Matz, William Metzo, Allison McLemore, Rosalinda Perron, Evgeniya Radilova, Mike Rosengarten, Lorraine Serabian, Barbara Spiegel, Eileen Ward and Perri Yaniv. The creative team includes director Lenny Leibowitz; scenic designer Tijana Bjelajac, costume designer Susan Nester, lighting designer Nicholas Houfek and sound designer Daniel Dungan. Original music for The Dybbuk and Blood Wedding is by Adam Knauss. Katie Ostrowski choreographs Blood Wedding, Gabrielle Orcha choreographs The Dybbuk.
