SEATTLE -- Seattle finally gets a look at the popular celebration of Irish music and dance, as Riverdance arrives at the Paramount Theatre, May 21.
Directed by John McColgan, and with music by Bill Whelan, Riverdancefocuses on the evolution of Irish music as well as its similarities with, and influences on, other cultures.
Though choreographer Michael Flatley's work was dropped when he went onto create his own show, numbers created by others including two of the show's stars Jean Butler and Colin Dunne keep the performance as robust and vibrant as ever.
The Paramount is located at 911 Pine St. For tickets ($40.50-$62.50) call (206)292-2787.
