News Robert Lyons' No Meat No Irony Opens Off-Broadway, Sept. 26 Robert Lyons will direct his own play No Meat No Irony, which has its premiere at Soho's Ohio Theatre on Sept. 26. The comedy runs until Oct. 18.

Celia Schaefer and Jeremy Brisiel star as two opposites who share a one-night stand. She is a vegetarian and the CEO of a successful company. He is a hungry journalist who wants to write her life story. The two share, tea, dinner, wine, drugs and, finally, sex—leading to a series of self-searching questions. Robert Lyons is the artistic director of the Soho Think Tank, which "strengthens, nurtures, and promotes an aesthetically and culturally diverse community of independent theatre artists and theatre companies by producing, presenting, and programming new work at the Ohio Theater." Past Lyons' works include 2001's P.R. Man.
