News Robin de Jesus and Zach Booth Will Be The Boys Upstairs at the Beechman Two-time Tony Award nominee Robin de Jesus will head the cast of Jason Mitchell's The Boys Upstairs, which will be presented June 9 at the Laurie Beechman Theatre as part of the New York International Fringe Festival's Encore Series.

Mitchell's play debuted as part of the 2009 FringeNYC and is one of 15 works presented at the Beechman in the Encore Series, a selection of FringeNYC's most popular works in its 15-year history.

Darren Katz, the resident director of The Lion King on Broadway, will direct the 7 PM staged reading that will include de Jesus (La Cage aux Folles, In the Heights), Zach Booth ("Damages," Me, Myself & I), Ven Daniels (Legally Blonde, Tarzan), Michael Zahler (The 25th Annual Putnam Country Spelling Bee, The Boy in the Bathroom) and Mark Fisher (The Little Dog Laughed, Wallenberg).

The Boys Upstairs is described as "a New York story that invites you upstairs to the fabulous living room of three best friends in Hell's Kitchen who handle relationships, careers, and the city with style, scandal, and specialty cocktails!"
