Landry and clan promise audiences their own take on Richard O'Brian's cult classic about the debaucherous goings on at the Frankenstein Place. Performances will run Friday nights at 10:30 PM through Dec. 2.
James P. Byrne directs the engagement, which has lighting by Justin Paice and costumes by Scott Martino.
Landry plays Dr. Frank'n'Furter in a cast that also features Kayla Foster (Janet Weiss), Gene Dante (Brad Majors), Laine Binder (Magenta), Tad McKittrick (Riff Raff), Darcie Champagne (Columbia), James Cerne (Rocky), Timothy Lawton (Eddie/Dr. Scott), Bill York (The Narrator), Grace Carney (The Dead Girl), Robin Yvonne Smith (Black Widow), Christopher Jane Pittman (Tarantula), and Cameron Benda, Christian Bufford, Lenni Kmiec and Sarah Mullis as the Transylvanians.
Here's how the Gold Dust Orphans bill their take: "When clean cut Brad and Janet get stranded on the side of the road and seek help from the Frankenstein Place, they super-naturally get a touch-a-touch more than they bargained for! Dr. Frank’n’Furter (Landry) and his nasty bunch of lust-loving lingerie junkies are in the midst of a MAN-iacal experiment and baby, there is NO escape! The show features all the classic songs you’ve come to love including 'Sweet Transvestite,' 'Damn it Janet,' and 'The Time Warp,' but this version aims to turn your insides OUT, making you (and the rest of the world) Rocky virgins all over again!"
