News Rosenberg Espionage Trials Explored in New Musical Red The new musical Red will world premiere in November at the Pittsburgh Playhouse.

Based on the Rosenberg espionage trials, Red was written by Marcus Stevens (book and lyrics) and Brian Lowdermilk (music and lyrics) and tries to answer the question: "Just how civil are liberties and how free is speech?" Stevens is a 2003 graduate of the Point Park College Conservatory of Performing Arts. Scott Wise, a faculty member at Point Park College, directs. Red will play the Pittsburgh theatre, Nov. 19-23 and Dec. 3-7; performance schedule is Wednesday through Saturdays at 8 PM and Sundays at 2 PM.
