The one-night-only evening, starting at 8:30 PM, will take place at New York City's St. Paul's Hall. All proceeds will benefit LAByrinth Theater Company. The LAB Shorts Throwdown! party is "thrown by LAB Company Members to celebrate LAB's upcoming 18th Season!," according to a press announcement. LAB actors and special guests will perform scenes from short plays by such LAB Member playwrights as Eric Bogosian, Rebecca Cohen, Cusi Cram, Stephen Adly Guirgis, David Bar Katz and John Patrick Shanley.
Jones (Jesus Hopped the A Train, Our Lady of 121st Street), Rubin-Vega (Rent, Jack Goes Boating) and Vázquez (The Last Days of Judas Iscariot) have all appeared in LAB productions.
The evening will then segue (at 10 PM) into "a memorable dance party to kick off the summer – featuring music by acclaimed maestros DJ Qool Marv, Aaron LaCrate and DJ Rekha."
