Sally Kirkland heads the cast of The Powder Room Suite, a new play by Frank Strausser, which has its world premiere at the Court Theatre Jan. 13-Feb. 20. The play, which is comprised of two linked one-acts, is set on the campus of a major university where a male student enrolls in a women's study course, only to have the instructor and her all-female class unleash a barrage of personal attacks on him for barging into "their" scene. Meanwhile, two lovers deal with the poisonous repercussions of a passionate affair--and a broken condom.Kirkland, a veteran of over 80 plays, is perhaps best known for her work on the 1987 film "Anna," a role that garnered her an Academy Award nomination. Kirkland also stars in the upcoming feature "Norma Jean, Jack and Me," playing Marilyn Monroe.
