No, it's not A Delicate Balance, it's Changing Rainbows, a world-premiere play about a thoroughly 90's couple that opens Oct. 25 at San Diego's 45-seat Ensemble Arts Studio Theatre.

Playwright Derrell Capes is a member of the Chicago Dramatists Workshop, which is dedicated to developing new playwrights and new plays in the midwest. A professional actor, Capes has been a member of Act One Studio's teaching faculty for nine years.

Celeste Innocenti, Walter Murray and Colleen Mahan comprise the three member cast of Changing Rainbows, which is directed by Glynn Bedington, founder and artistic director of Ensemble Arts Theatre. Previous works she's staged at E.A.T. Include Tracers, Angel City and The Rise And Rise Of Daniel Rocket.

For tickets ($8-$10) and information on Changing Rainbows, which runs to Nov. 24, call (619) 696-9508. -- By David Lefkowitz
