Classic Arts News   San Francisco Opera Plans Biggest Single Simulcast Ever - in Baseball Stadium

In what will likely be the largest-ever opera simulcast in a single location, San Francisco Opera is partnering with the San Francisco Giants to transmit a performance of Samson et Delilah live to the city's AT&T Park on a Friday night this fall.

The September 28 performance of the Saint-SaêŠns opera, with Clifton Forbis and Olga Borodina in the title roles and Patrick Summers conducting, will be shown in real time in high-definition video on the stadium's Mitsubishi Electric Diamond Vision scoreboard, described by the team and the opera as the highest-quality outdoor scoreboard in the U.S.

Audience members will be seated both in the stands and on the field; admission will be free, though tickets are required. Ticketing details will be posted on www.sfopera.com next Monday, July 9.
