The French Institute Alliance Française (FIAF) will offer the 2012 Crossing the Line Festival, which presents interdisciplinary works and performances created by artists from around the world, Sept. 14-Oct. 14 in New York.

Currently scheduled for the festival are Bel Borba, a concert by guitarist Bill Frisell, David Levine's Habit, Faustin Linyekula's Le Cargo, Joris Lacoste's 4 Prepared Dreams, DD Dorvillier's Danza Permanente, Sarah Michelson, Raimund Hoghe's Pas De Deux, Peter Sellars and Pascal Rambert's Cloture De L'Amour.

The annual festival, according to press notes, "provides opportunities for New Yorkers to explore the dialogue between artist and participant, examine how artists help re-imagine the world, and engage in the vital role artists play as critical thinkers and catalysts for social evolution."
