News Scheer Recalls Moscow 42nd Street in From Russia, With Love June 27-28 Actor-singer-dancer Joshua Scheer will detail the historical opening of the Moscow production of 42nd Street in an encore presentation of his acclaimed one-man show.

Entitled From Russia, With Love (42nd Street Plays Moscow), Scheer will present his comedic program June 27 and 28 at Don't Tell Mama. According to production notes, "In October of 2002, theatre history was made when the song and dance extravaganza 42nd Street became the first American musical to open for an extended run in Moscow. The tap shoes never arrived. There was no dress rehearsal. A neighboring theatre was seized by Chechen rebels. Cast member Joshua Scheer tells all about it." From Russia, With Love features direction by Kathy Brier with musical direction by Eddie Guttman. Show time is 8:30 PM June 27 and 9 PM June 28.

Born and raised in New York City, Joshua Scheer has appeared on the New York stage in Mindfreak, The Magic of Frederick Loewe and George M! His other theatrical credits include Camelot; You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown; My One and Only; Singin' in the Rain; La Cage aux Folles; and Damn Yankees.
